Weekend Trip To Vienna

0044-wien We have been to Vienna over the weekend visiting Ronny and Chris. The trip was planned quite some time ago, as we decided, that we did want to not go by but have some flights booked instead. Flying there was quite a nice and relaxing experience and gave us much more time than we would have had when going by car.

Vienna is quite nice during christmas time and there are a lot of christmas markets and christmas lights out on the streets. I have done some fotos from the christmas market in front of the Rathaus. On Sunday we went to the zoo before flying back in the evening. All in all a very nice and funny trip.

Fotos Southwest England

00138-southwest I have uploaded the fotos from our trip through the Southwest of the UK. Finally we have been to so many places. The fotos are from Charmouth, East Lambrook, Barrington Court, Abbetsburry, Westbay, Bath, Lynton, Lymouth, Glastenburry and some places in between. All in all we did more than 1000 km with our rental car.

Actually we have seen so many things and have met so many nice people the holiday felt much longer than a week. It was really good fun and we will definitly get back soon. Enjoy the pictures, which can be found here:  Gallery

Travelling the Southwest

We are still travelling through the SouthWest of the UK. Unfortunately our flight home is already tomorrow in the evening.

However we can look back at a great week and hopefully some nice fotos. We have met so many nice and funny people. We slept in a 500 € a night suite, on a horsefarm, at different places at friends and finally today in Glastenburry… Never saw so many alternative people together in one place… :)

So check back for the fotos soon…

DIY – Do It Yourself

I have quite recently started to experiment a bit with self created photo equipment. There is quite a lot of sites around in the net which are describing  a lot of different things which can easily be built by your own. This is a great way to get to quite good solutions for only a small amount of money.

One of the first things I tried was to build myself a simple softbox, which is mainly created out of an old box some transparent paper and aluminium foil. The results were quite good and I continued with creating a complete tabletop equipment with exchangable backgrounds…

I will post some pictures and a more detailed list of things I have used within the next days.

Snapshot to go

imag0005.jpg I have recently bought myself a HTC diamond touch pro phone. Up to now I was using a Motorola Razor V3xx which had a really bad cam on board. However eventhough I am still not sure what I should think about using mobile phone cameras, I think I would like to at least give the new and better one a chance.

At least I am already quite happy with some snapshots I did, and therefore thought, it might be some good fun to have an extra gallery for this kind of shots. The one above was made in the Munich underground station Marienplatz.

Cinque Terre

00033-cinque_terre.jpg We have just returned from a one week holiday from one of the most beautiful parts of Italy – Cinque Terre. Our campsite was up on a hill in Moneglia in between olive trees. The campsite is called Le Grigue with a nice seaview. Its about a 15 minutes walk down to the sea from there.

We did various trips to cinque terre national park which is just great for hiking as well as a trip to Portofino to the rich and famous. But just have a look at the pictures: Gallery

Photoshop Toast

00005-pstoast.jpg One of the first compositions I have done with photoshop was this toaster. This was also inspired by the digital still life photography course with Max, mentioned below.

As it is quite hard to get the right timing for a foto of the two breads jumping out of the toaster, we decided to let photoshop do the work for us. Have a look into the picture gallery to see that the final picture is a composition of three single shots. PS Toast
